Plan of the Week for Monday 23rd June 2014
Another week over! Time flies.
Sadly, my ankle continued to give me trouble this week. As I wrote previously, having patience is a key part of injury recovery. This means I’m not too disappointed with my performance.
Let’s talk about this week.
Deja-vu all over again
Last week and the week before, I gave myself this training plan:
Sadly, my ankle didn’t heal as quickly as I thought it would. This meant that I wasn’t able to think about running till the weekend. Even then, I took it very easy – clocking up 3.5k on Saturday at a very easy 6:10/km pace and similar on Sunday. The important part of these runs was to test my ankle out and slowly ease back into running.
While it’s been a frustrating few weeks, I expect I’m through this rut. Let’s see how I do this week.
