I’ve been away from here for a month. In that time, I moved countries (back in UK), sorted out my sore knees and took a rest from running. With my life now more settled, time to set some new running challenges this week.
Feeling refreshed after a running break
Moving counties is very complicated. It involved an awful lot of work (getting rid of old flat, changing jobs, finding new place to stay in the UK). My knee troubles continued. With everything going on in my life, I decided to take a rest from running. I feel much refreshed.
The break allowed me an extra hour each day to sort my life out. Having landed back in the UK on October 21st, I spent a week battling jet-lag, starting job interviews and trying to resurrect my UK life. Having an hour each day to do this – that hour when I’d otherwise be changing/running/stretching – was useful and helped me not feel guilty. I did do a few runs, but nothing dramatic
And now I’m ready to ease back into my running.
Weekly Running Challenges – Nov 10 2014
This week I’ll take it easy on myself. My running challenges are:
- Run 5 times for minimum of 25k total mileage between Monday and Sunday
- Tweet each run for accountability
- Research a gym; including a visit to one!
- Research and pick my next marathon
- Write one more post this week about my knees
Till next week’s review, Keep on Going.
