Following on from my New Year’s posts (and resolutions), here’s my first post of 2016. Let’s discuss my week’s running and what I plan to get unto this week – exercise wise.
Plan of the Week Monday 13th July 2015
Yes, it’s been a long time! Life has been crazy busy though I’ve managed to get a few runs in. Precious little time for blogging though. Let’s see about setting some goals for this week and month.
Weekly Running Challenge – Monday 6th April 2015
Happy Easter Monday! Today was a really gorgeous day here in Reading. I had a short run through the park near my home. For the first time this year, it was shorts and tee-shirt weather only (I was able to leave the jacket/gloves/hat and tights at home).
Really quick update this week.
Sadly, knee trouble (reckon it’s runner’s knee) meant I’ve taken last week off. I managed one or two runs and then decided rest was best. So, no running really to report.
Secondly, this week I am mostly moving house. I return to the UK and have got a whole week of packing, cleaning and arrangements to make.
Therefore, I’ll be on a short – intentional break – till about 26th October. Till then,
Keep on Going
After a long absence, I’ve been setting myself some new weekly challenges. Let’s review.
After a long absence, time for a small change in how I approach my running. Last week, I ran the Blackmore’s Sydney Marathon. This is because I am returning to the UK and am about to have my life turned upside down again.
But that doesn’t mean I want to stop running. And that’s why the tweak from Plan of the Week to This Week’s Challenge.

Last week was deliberately quiet. Sometimes, avoiding burnout means taking a break. How did I do the week before, how did I manage on my week off and what’s the plan for next week? Let’s review!
Last week, I was really pleased with my progress. This week, I’m even more pleased! My running feels like it is moving into another plane and I’m bursting at the seems to share it with you all! So, let’s review!
It’s the time of the week where we compare planned with actual. Last week’s plan was:
- Run a 10-15k on the weekend
- Run on Sat & Sun
- Run three times during the week
- Run before work
How did I do?
